2012 Light the Way 5K

Each year, in the middle of December, the Runner's Edge "Light the Way 5K" winds through snow covered Greenough park in Missoula, Montana. Runners follow a path of candle-lit bags which light the way. Many participants also wear their own lights, reflectors, and dress the part. After the race, in a festive, holiday atmosphere, hot chocolate and cookies are enjoyed next to several open fire pits, and lots of chatter, laughter, and holiday music echoes through the forest.
